We are looking for Foster Homes!

  • Being a foster parent to an animal in need of a little TLC can be a very rewarding experience. Some of the homeless animals that come into our Shelter have a hard time adjusting to life at the Shelter while they wait for their new homes. By placing them in a foster home, it allows us to give an interested adopter a better insight into the pet's likes and dislikes, good or bad habits, and its ability to get along with children and other pets. When the animal is adopted out there is a less chance it will be returned to the Shelter for some underlying problem that would go undectected at the Shelter. There are many ways someone can foster an animal. If you are interested in helping, please call the Shelter at 773-1806, or send us an email requesting an application form to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Pet 1

Morgan:

Morgan is definitely a good-looking young man with a soft grey & white fur coat. He is a very active kitty who loves to play, play and then play some more. He spent a month in a foster home, so he has lots of experience with kids, cats & dogs. If you think you can keep up to him, then Morgan is the kitty you should take home!

Morgan is the second kitten in our "Criminal Minds" litter.

Unaltered male, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 2

Emperor:

You`d think that, with a name like Emperor, he would rule the kennel. Although, now that he`s living with Fonzie & Theo, it`s hard to tell who the real boss is. They love to play and play and play, then settle down for a well-deserved nap. Emperor is a little more laid-back than the other two. He tends to stay out of harm`s way, but he can hold his own if he has to. He is a happy little boy who loves to snuggle. Besides, who can resist that sweet little smile!

Emperor is our fifth and final kitten in our "Royal" litter.

Unaltered male, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 3

Silk:

This cute little gal is the "snuggler" of the bunch. She likes nothing better than to lay in your arms while you pet her and tickle her tummy. She spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats & dogs, so she is ready for anything. If you`re looking for a kitty to sit on your lap while you watch the Rider games, then this is the girl for you!

Silk is the first kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered female, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 4

Satin:

This pretty little girl is a little shy & apprehensive (maybe it`s from having 4 brothers!). Once she gets used to you, she loves all the petting & snuggling she can get. She spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats & dogs, so she is ready for anything. She might just be the perfect kitty for your home!

Satin is the second kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered female, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 5

Gingham:

Gingham is the inquisitive one of the litter. He likes to sit on your shoulder and watch the world go by. When you least expect it, he sticks his nose in your ear to see if there`s anything in there. He spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats & dogs, so he is ready for anything. Maybe you have things in your house that he can check out for you!

Gingham is the fourth kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered male, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 6

Kelvar:

It takes a while for Kevlar to get used to someone new, but when he does he can purr with the best of them. He loves to play, eat & nap - not necessarily in that order. He spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats, and dogs, so he is ready for anything. This cute little fellow would make a great addition to any home - maybe even yours!

Kevlar is the sixth and final kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered male, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 7

Big Al:

Great Pyrenees

Big Al is just that. Big. However, it is all sunshine and rainbows with this boy. He is happy to meet anyone, and great with children. Coming in as a stray, we have no idea where he came from, but we can`t wait to see where he goes!

Big Al`s breed is terrific for a farm or an acreage. Great Pyrenees dogs love to patrol their boundary, making sure that no trespassing creatures make it into their space. This large breed has a natural instinct to protect what they deem their own, whether it be your family, your yard, or your livestock.

We do not know what experiences Big Al has had in the past with the types of duties associated with his breed. However, we do know that he will need a lot of space with which to exercise himself in. If you think you might have room in your life for Big Al, he would love to meet you today!

Altered male, approx. age 3 years 0 months.
Size: Large

Pet 8

Hank:

Border Collie/Labrador Retriever

Hank is a very sweet boy - one who is all too willing to accept any, and all, attention. He came to the shelter from a farm and we received limited information about his past, so the observations into who he is, has begun.

Hank seems to like everyone, dogs and kids alike, although we have not tested him on his attitude towards cats. Hank is an older gentleman, who is essentially looking for his retirement home. Hank spends most of his days snoozing inside on his bed, always waiting for someone to come in and give him some attention.

We are hoping that Hank`s age does not deter a wonderful family from adopting him soon. He is a wonderful guy, with quite a bit of life left in him, and he is hoping to live it to the fullest. Come in and meet this big sweetheart!

THANKS TO A KIND SPONSOR, HANK`S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN REDUCED!

Unaltered male, approx. age 11 year 1 month.
Size: Medium
