We are looking for Foster Homes!

  • Being a foster parent to an animal in need of a little TLC can be a very rewarding experience. Some of the homeless animals that come into our Shelter have a hard time adjusting to life at the Shelter while they wait for their new homes. By placing them in a foster home, it allows us to give an interested adopter a better insight into the pet's likes and dislikes, good or bad habits, and its ability to get along with children and other pets. When the animal is adopted out there is a less chance it will be returned to the Shelter for some underlying problem that would go undectected at the Shelter. There are many ways someone can foster an animal. If you are interested in helping, please call the Shelter at 773-1806, or send us an email requesting an application form to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Pet 1

Charcoal is one of those lucky cats who has both inner and outer beauty. As you can see from her picture, she is stunningly gorgeous. She is a gentle, sweet-tempered cat who is patiently waiting for someone to give her the home she so richly deserves. Come to the Shelter and meet her ... we`re sure you won`t be disappointed!

Altered female, approx. age 1 year 1 month.
Size: Medium

Pet 2

Timmy is one handsome dude, even though he lost part of his ears to frostbite. He is a bit of a goofball and loves to lay on his back and pretend the rest of the world is upside down. He came into the shelter already declawed, so he has to be an indoor cat. He is a sweet, affectionate young man and we`re sure anyone would love to have him in their home .. we know he would love you right back!

Altered male, approx. age 11 months.
Size: Medium

Pet 3

Freeda is growing into a gorgeous young lady who is ready to grace your home with her presence. She can be quite vocal when she feels as if she is not getting the attention she deserves, but all she wants is some love. A typical kitten, she loves to play, pounce and race around. Come give this sweet little girl a home today!

Unaltered female, approx. age 4 months.
Size: Small

Pet 4

Willy is a wonderful boy, loving and adoring of almost all. He is happy with the loves provided, and is not demanding of your attention. A gorgeous looking boy like him deserves a special someone. Is that you?

Altered male, approx. age 11 months.
Size: Medium

Pet 5

Nala is a loveable gal, meek and mild. However, this does not mean she is a pushover. She grew up with four brothers so she has learned how to hold her own!

Altered female, approx. age 12 months.
Size: Medium

Pet 6

A sweeter girl will be hard to find. This beautiful tortie cat is looking for just the right home that will shower her with affection and you can be sure she will give it all back to you. She loves to tell stories and maybe she`ll even listen to some of yours. Come down to the shelter and meet her ... it just might be the best thing you ever do!

Altered female, approx. age 1 year 1 month.
Size: Medium

Pet 7

Phoenix is a really sweet guy, loving of attention and people of all ages. He has had some training done with him, and will obey basic commands. He is very much a people-loving dog, and is always excited when new people come to visit him.

Phoenix came from a family with young children and gets along with them wonderfully. He loves to play with new dogs and doesn`t stray from his family. Phoenix does not have any experience with cats, other than his brief encounters with a few of our felines in the front entrance. In almost every way, he is a phenomenal dog. His exuberant greeting will definitely bring a smile to your face while he steals your heart away.

Border Collie

Altered male, approx. age 1 year 0 months.
Size: Medium

Pet 8

Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/German Shepherd Dog

Scout is a happy little boy, who is just looking for some love and discipline. He needs some extra time spent with him, teaching him that not all new things are scary. Scout also does not have much in the way of training, thus he has very little in the way of manners. He loves to play and is very gentle when wrestling, but simply does not know when to stop. He has a lot of energy and will need some space with which to exercise. He is a goofy little man, with a smile you simply can not resist!

Altered male, approx. age 11 months.
Size: Medium
