The world Durum market is profitable right now with smaller than usual crops in the U-S and the E-U.

Bruce Burnett is the Director of Weather and Market Analysis with the Canadian Wheat Board. One of the key markets for us, Morocco, has temporarily suspended it’s import duties on durum which could open the door for more export opportunities from Canada.



Canadian Durum Production this year is estimated at 4 million tonnes with the majority of it reportedly in the top two grades.
