We are looking for Foster Homes!

  • Being a foster parent to an animal in need of a little TLC can be a very rewarding experience. Some of the homeless animals that come into our Shelter have a hard time adjusting to life at the Shelter while they wait for their new homes. By placing them in a foster home, it allows us to give an interested adopter a better insight into the pet's likes and dislikes, good or bad habits, and its ability to get along with children and other pets. When the animal is adopted out there is a less chance it will be returned to the Shelter for some underlying problem that would go undectected at the Shelter. There are many ways someone can foster an animal. If you are interested in helping, please call the Shelter at 773-1806, or send us an email requesting an application form to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Todd is a great big puppy at heart. He loves to play, and has a TON of energy. He is learning manners, but initial introductions are often a flurry of excitement for him, and he forgets most of what he has learned. He likes going for long walks and would love to be able to play with other dogs, given the proper introductions.

Todd will need a home that is willing to offer him space and time with which to exercise. His manners on a leash are coming along thanks to the work of our excellent volunteers and as he matures, he is beginning to settle down.

Todd is a good looking dog with a lot of potential. He wants to learn, and he only needs you to take the time to teach him!

Altered male, approx. age 10 months.
Size: Medium

Pet 8

Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/German Shepherd Dog

Scout is a happy little boy, who is just looking for some love and discipline. He needs some extra time spent with him, teaching him that not all new things are scary. Scout also does not have much in the way of training, thus he has very little in the way of manners. He loves to play and is very gentle when wrestling, but simply does not know when to stop. He has a lot of energy and will need some space with which to exercise. He is a goofy little man, with a smile you simply can not resist!

Altered male, approx. age 11 months.
Size: Medium
