We are looking for Foster Homes!

  • Being a foster parent to an animal in need of a little TLC can be a very rewarding experience. Some of the homeless animals that come into our Shelter have a hard time adjusting to life at the Shelter while they wait for their new homes. By placing them in a foster home, it allows us to give an interested adopter a better insight into the pet's likes and dislikes, good or bad habits, and its ability to get along with children and other pets. When the animal is adopted out there is a less chance it will be returned to the Shelter for some underlying problem that would go undectected at the Shelter. There are many ways someone can foster an animal. If you are interested in helping, please call the Shelter at 773-1806, or send us an email requesting an application form to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Pet 1

Mimi:

Reduced adoption fee

When Mimi came into the shelter, she was a shy, scared little girl. She had also been in some kind of an accident and ended up with a split lip. She went to a foster home and her foster mom has been working on getting her to come out of her shell. Slowly, but surely, she is getting more & more comfortable with people. She lives with kids, cats and dogs so there are plenty of people and animals for her to play with. She will always be a sweet, quiet and gentle little lady - that just seems to be her nature. The way to Mimi`s heart is through her stomach ... she loves to eat! As soon as the food or treats come out, she`s there in a flash and her little purr machine turns on full throttle. We know there`s a perfect person out there somewhere for this perfect little kitty. Are you that person?

unaltered female, approx. age 4 months.
Size: Small

Pet 2

Fonzie:

One look at little Fonzie and he starts to purr. He loves to play and is especially fond of having his ears scratched & his tummy tickled. He loves to sit on your shoulder so that he can get a better view of what`s happening in the world. He is now living with Emperor and is in his glory having someone to play with. If you`re looking for an active, cuddly kitty, then Fonzie is your man!

Unaltered male, approx. age 15 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 3

Silk:

This cute little gal is the "snuggler" of the bunch. She likes nothing better than to lay in your arms while you pet her and tickle her tummy. She spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats & dogs, so she is ready for anything. If you`re looking for a kitty to sit on your lap while you watch the Rider games, then this is the girl for you!

Silk is the first kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered female, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 4

Satin:

This pretty little girl is a little shy & apprehensive (maybe it`s from having 4 brothers!). Once she gets used to you, she loves all the petting & snuggling she can get. She spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats & dogs, so she is ready for anything. She might just be the perfect kitty for your home!

Satin is the second kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered female, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 5

Gingham:

Gingham is the inquisitive one of the litter. He likes to sit on your shoulder and watch the world go by. When you least expect it, he sticks his nose in your ear to see if there`s anything in there. He spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats & dogs, so he is ready for anything. Maybe you have things in your house that he can check out for you!

Gingham is the fourth kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered male, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 6

Kelvar:

It takes a while for Kevlar to get used to someone new, but when he does he can purr with the best of them. He loves to play, eat & nap - not necessarily in that order. He spent 6 weeks in a foster home with kids, cats, and dogs, so he is ready for anything. This cute little fellow would make a great addition to any home - maybe even yours!

Kevlar is the sixth and final kitten in our "Fabric" litter.

Unaltered male, approx. age 14 weeks.
Size: Small

Pet 7

Tilley:

Husky/German Shepherd Dog
Reduced adoption fee

Tilley is a sweet and wonderful lady, always ready for whatever love that you choose to give! She gets along with people of all ages, and you will never leave feeling unwelcomed. She has a wonderful temperament and quite a bit of energy for a lady of her years, leaving her with very positive prospects for a new home!

Tilley does not like cats, and should not be placed in a home where they are around. She also believes in lots of exercise and will sometimes take herself for walks if she is not in a properly fenced yard. She is classified as a senior, but you would never guess it by watching her in action.

Tilley is a wonderful girl deserving of a second chance. She is a great companion dog and will make anyone feel like the luckiest family in the world to have her around. Come and fall in love with this gal!

Altered female, approx. age 8 years 0 months.
Size: Large

Pet 8

Twinkle:

Pomeranian

Twinkle is a very rambunctious lad, with a lot of bounce in his step. He has quite a bit of energy for a man of his age, and doesn`t mind using it up in whatever way possible.

Twinkle needs some positive reinforcement with some basic household manners. Now that his bad habits are not encouraged by his sister, we believe that he will become a great little companion. He would do fine in a home with other dogs, however, we will always encourage a meet and greet to confirm this.

Twinkle has a sweet way about him, making it almost impossible not to fall in love with him. We believe that a perfect home is out there waiting for him. Come in and meet this dashing lad! He would love to make your acquaintance!

Altered male, approx. age 6 years 5 months.
Size: Small
