We are looking for Foster Homes!

  • Being a foster parent to an animal in need of a little TLC can be a very rewarding experience. Some of the homeless animals that come into our shelter have a hard time adjusting to life at the shelter while they wait for their new homes. By placing them in a foster home, it allows us to give an interested adopter a better insight into the dogs likes and dislikes, good or bad habits, and its ability to get along with children and other pets. When the animal is adopted out there is a less chance it will be returned to the shelter for some underlying problem that would go undectected at the shelter. There are many ways someone can foster an animal. If you are interested in helping, please call the Shelter at 773-1806, or send us an email requesting an application form to spcasc@sasktel.net

Josie was out for a test drive and brought back to us due to allergies.  The wonderful family who had her told us she is a great companion who is very lovable and loves to be cuddled.  She is great with kids, loves to play, and doesn't like to be left alone.  Josie is spayed & fully vaccinated.   She gets along well with cats, & will adjust to dogs.  Please come in and see for yourself how sweet she is!

Cierra is a beautiful brown mackerel and white quiet female tabby cat who is slightly under a year old.  She has blossomed into a very loving, affectionate girl.  She loves having her left ear scratched, and is starting to stand on her tippy-toes to get her pets.  Cierra also enjoys playing hide and seek under blankets and towels until she can't stand it anymore and reaches out to tag Jeff or you to give away her location.  Cierra warms to other cats, but is still unsure of dogs.

**Update - Cierra has been spayed**

Roxy is an intact female, Brown Mackeral Tabby.  She was not treated very well while she was growing up, so she can be a little cautious of people sometimes.  She warms up right away when she realizes you are not going to hurt her. She is nothing but a sweetheart!
