Nuclear power may not be in Saskatchewan's future.
A report on nuclear power says supporters of the project have exaggerated the prospect of the province exporting electricity from a nuclear plant.
The report was done by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and says building a nuclear power facility would be too expensive.
It also says Saskatchewan would have to compete with lower cost hydro electricity from Oregon, Washington, B.C., and Manitoba.
Ontario-based Bruce Power had proposed building a large-scale nuclear plant in Saskatchewan, but the province said last December that it didn't support nuclear power at this time.
