Gouthro,  Wynn,  Catcher Travis Steinke (Red Deer, AB)   first baseman Mitch Dornblut  (Surrey, BC), second baseman Evan Comeau (Waverly, NS) left fielder Corey Wood (Fredricton, NB, designated hitter  Luke Barry (Swift Current, SK)   and pitcher Regan of PBA,  third baseman Condon, Utility man Tyler Lowey (Calgary, AB), both of TRU .   Shortstop Dallas Monk (Comox, BC), right fielder Liam Goodall (Nanaimo, BC) and pitcher Russell of VIBI.

Chad Schultz and Luke Barry of Swift Current earned post-season honours in the Canadian College Baseball Conference.

Barry is the 1rst all-star team designated hitter while Schultz is the 2nd all-star team second baseman.

Schultz has enjoyed his first year of college ball with the Vancouver Island Baseball Institute.

"You get a lot better. You get more reps for hitting and ground balls and you've got coaches that'll teach you the right way to swing and the right way to play the game. Its just an awesome experience."

He says moving up to college ball was an adjustment.

"The Pitching is a lot harder so I had to learn to get my foot down on the faster pitches to get that fast ball going. I'm low in the line-up so I'm looking (at) fast balls most of the time so I... basically try and hit it off-field somewhere."

Schultz, fellow Swift Current product Reiley Grose and the V.I.B.I. Mariners beat Luke Barry and his Lethbridge team 3-0 in the Canadian College Baseball Conference championship tournament opener in Kamloops yesterday.

All three will be eligible to play for for the WMBL Indians this summer.
