A suddenly banged up Swift Current Broncos roster is getting a helping hand from their top prospect.

2016 4th overall bantam draft pick Logan Barlage will be making his WHL regular season debut at home against Edmonton tomorrow night.

The Broncos have called Barlage up to fill holes in their lineup created by a number of injuries and Riley Stotts' stint at the U17 tournament.

Barlage in on a roll as of late with 7 points in his last 3 Midget AAA games for the Prince Albert Mintos. In total he has 12 points in 7 games for the Mintos.

He also put up 7 points in 5 games for Team Saskatchewan at the Western Regional U16 Challenge Cup.

"Logan played exceptional," said Broncos Director of Hockey Operations Jamie Porter in noting injuries forced Barlage to play on both the first and third lines for Saskatchewan. "You could see that he was a dominant forward out there. He's a big man that can really move and has excellent puck skills. The sad thing for Team Saskatchewan is with all their injuries they had to play him so much he ran out of gas and he got worn down. That just made it more impressive the things he was able to do. Those first games when he did have all his gas in the tank he was as dominant a forward as there was in the whole tournament."

The 15-year-old had 4 points in 4 WHL pre-season games this fall.

He dominated the Saskatchewan AA Bantam league last season with 125 points in 30 games and an additional 21 points in 7 playoff games.

Swift Current carries a 9-5-1-1 record into Barlage's debut tomorrow against Edmonton.
