The Edmonton Prospects will be making their way east to battle the Swift Current Indians in the WMBL Final.

After being delayed 24 hours by a rain-out on Tuesday, the Medicine Hat Mavericks and the Prospects finally were able to get their winner take all game five in, which saw the Prospects advanced to the final with a 4-3 road win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Trailing the Mavericks 3-1 in the sixth inning, the Prospects used a pair of sacrifice flies to tie the game before taking the lead for good on a solo home run in the seventh.

Although Edmonton finished the regular season under .500 at 22-25 they have now defeated the top two seeds in the west, downing Medicine Hat, as well as Okotoks.

Edmonton will visit Swift Current Thursday night for game one of the best of five championship.
