Breaking out of a mini slump in a big way. That was the case Wednesday night for the Swift Current Indians.

After being blanked by the Weyburn Beavers Tuesday night, the Indians responded with a 12-2 win over the Regina Red Sox.

The Swift Current offense was led by the bottom half of the order on Wednesday, with the six through nine hitters accounting for 9 RBI's.

Thomas DeBonville hit a home run and drove in three, Kyle Zirbes knocked in four runs and Culver Plant picked up a pair of RBI's.

Aiden Goodall picked up the win on the mound, throwing two scoreless innings in relief, striking out three.

Despite the Tribe's win, the Yorkton Cardinals maintained pace with Swift Current, scoring a 13-6 victory over Melville.

The Indians continue to lead the East by 3.5 games over Yorkton.
