The CCA Finals Rodeo has wrapped up its first year in Swift Current and the winners have been crowned.

In Bareback, the reigning 2015 CCA Finals champion Brady Bertram of Maple Creek was able to hold on to his title for another year after clinching the Bareback championship with 145 points.

Bertram also claimed the aggregate title with a score of 380.5 over 5 rides.

Hudson Bay's Bertina Olafson & her main mount Duke claimed both the Aggregate and Finals championship in Barrel Racing in their second appearance at the CCA finals.

Olafson won rounds 1, 3 & 4 giving her a commanding points lead going into the final performance.

Nanton, Alberta's Ron Hunt came out on top in Bull Riding after a big win and the only ride of the night on Round 5 on Whiteline Rodeo's Single Payment.  

He was also the only Bull rider to make the 8 on 3 head and claimed the aggregate title as well.

When the dust settled in Saddle Bronc, Maple Creek's Adam Gilchrist had the most points over the duration and clinched his first CCA Finals Champion title.

After a rare no time from Scott Sigfusson in the last round of Steer Wrestling, the aggregate race opened up, and a dead heat in points and a run-off between Australia's George Wheeler & Solsgirth, Manitoba's Devon Porter.  

Porter emerged victorious after a 4.6 second run in the sudden death shootout.  Wheeler did not home empty handed though and did secure his aggregate title in the event.

Team Roping cousins Kyle & Brady Chappel came out on top in the Team Roping championship race & aggregate race after wins in round 2 & 3, and 2nd place finishes in Round 4 & 5, and a 15-second lead in the aggregate race.

Mace Perozak of Claresholm, Alberta aggregate win and consistency over the rounds gave him the most points in the Tie Down Roping race and the 2016 Championship title.

In the junior segment of the CCA Finals Rodeo, victories in both rounds 4 and 5 for Foremost, Alberta's William Barrow emerged as the 2016 CCA aggregate & Finals Junior Steer Riding Champion.

The Junior Girls Barrel Racing event came down to the wire.

Sydney Windjack of Maple Creek won round 4, while Waskada, Manitoba's Laramie Lockie won round 5 leading to a dead heat in the Junior Girls Barrel Racing points.  

After the second run off of the night, Lockie & her horse Peppybelle emerged victorious for the 2016 Junior Girls Barrel racing title.  

Maple Creek's Janae Wilson was the best over 5 rounds and emerged the aggregate champion.
