It’s time to get out and vote.

Elections take place today for both civic and rural municipalities.

APAS President Norm Hall says it’s important to take the opportunity to vote.

"The reeves and half the councillors of every RM are up for election this year," he said.

"As with the federal election and the provincial election prior to, we just encourage everybody to get out and make your voices heard."

Hall adds every vote matters.

"There are changes happening in many of the RM's and this is your opportunity to make your voice heard," he said.

"In a lot of cases, there are things happening within the RM's that producers don't like."

He notes if you don’t step up and vote,  then you don’t have a right to complain.

Polling stations open at 9:00a.m. and close tonight  at 8:00p.m.
