The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment is reminding those heading out to the frozen lakes for a day of ice fishing to be responsible.

Conservation Officer Rich Hildebrand says anglers must abide to any limits imposed on the lake or species, and make sure no litter is left behind. He also reminds everyone to keep safety in mind, and be aware of changing ice conditions, especially with the fluctuating temperatures we have had this winter.
 
Hilderbrand also encourages those who suspect any wildlife or fisheries violations to call the Turn in Poachers hotline at 1-800-667-7561.
