It's a huge celebration happening today at the T Rex Discovery Center in Eastend.

It's been 25 years since Scotty the T Rex's discovery. Head Interpreter at the Center, Cleo Morvik says, "Twenty five years ago three men went on a bit of a prospecting trip. So, one of them was actually the school principal at the time, Mr. Robert Gebhardt, and then the two paleontologists were Tim Tokaryk and John Storer. So, they were checking on an area on Allemand Ranches. Mr. Gebhardt was just kind of walking along a cow trail and kind of looked down at just the right point in time and saw the first piece of Scotty's bones sticking out of the ground."

Everyone is welcome to come out to the T Rex Discovery Center today for the celebrations. There will be story time at ten thirty.

The barbecued pull pork on a bun lunch goes from eleven a.m. until two p.m. That costs $5.00 per person.

From noon until four p.m. there will be lab tours, as well as they will be selling snow cones and cotton candy for $3.00 each.

You can also check out the Bouncy Castle, have your face painted and do some crafts, all free of charge.
