Looking to help improve math skills among it's students, the Chinook School Division recently announced the follow-up to their successful Balanced Literacy initiative. The Math Momentum program was approved at the recent Chinook board meeting, with a goal of 25% of students exceeding the school division's expectations by June of 2014.
Director of Education, Liam Choo-Foo says with math scores dropping on several scales, a plan was needed.
Chinook also intends to fully maintain their literacy plan for the foreseeable future.
