The holiday spirit was on display at Riverdene Park in Swift Current yesterday morning.
The inaugural Prpick Bo$$ Holiday Sweater Run had 34 participants that braved the cold weather in support of the Swift Current Friendship Centre.
Stephanie Prpick-Boss, Race Director spoke about the event.
"The holiday sweater run went fabulous, the weather was on our side and everybody who came dressed up in fantastic holiday sweaters. It was a fabulous morning overall," she said yesterday afternoon.
She also went onto to speak about the variety of participants.
"There were a number of youth who participated and people of all running levels, so it was great. Everyone had a big smile on their face crossing the finish line," she said.
The race winners were Lexi Boss in the two kilometre run with a time of 10:02 and Tom Judiesch in the five kilometre run with a time of 22:01.
The total amount of money raised for the Swift Current Friendship Centre will be released later this week.
