It's a good news/bad news situation in Swift Current... the bad news is the unseasonable warmth we have enjoyed over the last couple of weeks has come to an end.
The good news is it's once again cold enough to keep ice on the outdoor rinks. City Rec and Parks says the five outdoor rinks will reopen today, and will stay open for as long as temperatures permit.
The rinks had been closed temporarily after temperatures hovered above zero for many days this past week.
If you do go out to the rinks, or any other outdoor activity, make sure to bundle up, as we could see temperatures drop toward -20 through the coming week. For more weather details, click the Local Weather link on Swift Current Online.
