Over 70 Grade 11 & 12 Students got to experience college life last month through the Great Plains College Spend-A-Days initiative.

Recruitment Co-ordinator for the college Kirby Leisle says the day was a success: "we had quite a few students on campus checking out all our full-time programs, they spent some time in class doing some hands-on activities with the instructors and current students, they had a free lunch and some prizes, and some information on the college and their specific programs."

On top of experience in fields like business, carpentry, electrician, office administration, welding, and wind turbine maintenance technician courses, students were also meeting with local employers.

Leisle says plans are already underway for more events like this in the new year.
