Premier Brad Wall is painting the NDP's campaign promises as reckless spending that could harm the economy.

The NDP released a platform yesterday that included 2.3 billion dollars in additional spending over four years.

Wall says the actual cost would be closer to $3 billion.

NDP leader Dwain Lingenfelter says they can pay for their promises by increasing potash royalties.

Wall says the former NDP government negotiated the current royalty structure and he believes Lingenfelter is risking jobs and investment by proposing to change it.
