Gerry Ritz

The Inland Terminal Association of Canada’s Conference ran earlier this week in Saskatoon.

Among the key speakers Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced the formation of the Crop Logistics Working Group which will consider the performance of the agricultural supply chain for all crops.

The executive director of Pulse Canada Greg Cherowyk also gave a presentation.

He commented on news that a facilitator has been hired as a result of the rail service review to develop commercial service agreements adding it’s important those agreements include defined standards of service.

He says they believe if the performance standards and consequences are clear, there will hopefully be less need for dispute resolution.
