The 2018 Canadian Crop Hail Report shows just over $98 million in hail claims were paid out in Saskatchewan this year as compared to $47 million in 2017.

The most expensive storm dates for the Province was July 7th, 9th and 10th resulting in over 1750 claims which paid out over $34 million in losses.

Here in Saskatchewan hail frequency was on par with the five-year average; while hail severity saw a 24% increase on the 5-year average.

Overall $161 million dollars was paid out with over 11,200 hail loss claims being reported across Western Canada.
