The latest in farm equipment and technology is on display this week at Canada’s Farm Progress Show in Regina.

As part of a preview event for dealers last night AGCO unveiled its new IDEAL Fendt Combine for the first time in Western Canada.

Caleb Schleder, AGCO’s Marketing Manager for Harvesting Products in North America talks about some of the advancements they’ve made with this combine.

"You talk about the dual-helix rotor and how gentle it is on grain, but effective, and the length of that in order to make sure we're getting good threshing up front, getting good separation, saving all that grain and then putting it down on the shoe in a manner of getting the ideal balance to where its guiding that cropmat in the right areas of the shoe, there's a lot of innovative technology that hasn't been tried before that we built into this machine."

Agco officials say it’s a game changer for the industry and it’s on display this week at Canada’s Farm Progress Show.

"In 2018 what we're doing, is we're doing a limited demonstration season," he said. "We want customers to experience it, to see the performance in the field, to see it for themselves. In 2019 that's when we are going to be able to have a full retail with our dealers going in signing the contract and seeing the performance of IDEAL on their operation."

The Fendt IDEAL Combine development focused on three key areas for producers ease of operation, maintenance and reliability and maximizing performance and field efficiency.
