APAS believes the way the federal government is moving farmers are being excluded from the new CWB entity.
Arylnn Kurtz is Vice President of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan.
He’s concerned about how quickly the government seems to be fast tracking Bill C-18, the Marketing Freedom for Grain Farmers Act.
The legislation when passed would remove the farmer elected board members. Kurtz is concerned and says there should be some farmer representatives in the new organization to protect farmers interests.
