The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan has been holding its Annual General Meeting in Regina this week.

APAS is continuing to call on the Federal and Provincial government to help producers impacted by the wildfires in the southwest and western half of the province.

Wildfires in September and October resulted in a significant loss for producers from livestock to hay and pasture land, fencing etc.

APAS Director Don Connick says one lesson to take away from an event like this is that every farm and rural municipality needs to develop an emergency plan.
