Canadian Western Agribition brought a little of the country to the city over the weekend to help promote this year’s show to Regina residents.

CEO Chris Lane also announced some key promotions for this year’s event.

The first 100 people through the gates will get free admission this year at Agribition courtesy of John Deere to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

As well, Agribition is also continuing its free admissions program for Military and First Responders (including veterans).

Agribition also launched a mobile app to help attendees access tickets, maps and schedules on-the-go.

This year’s show runs November 19th to the 24th and features over 148 events over the six days.

Lane says this year they are expanding the livestock component at the show to include an alpaca show and a Texas Longhorn show and sale featuring a bull with a 9.2 ft. horn span.

Other new events include the CWA Agri-Preneurship Workshop presented by InnovationSask and RBC Future Launch, a networking event for entrepreneurs and business students featuring Murad Al-Katib, Moni Minhas and other speakers

As well there will be a free CWA Mental Health Workshop presented by FCC  and as part of the mental health initiatives Wild Blue Psychology will be on site with their therapy animals.

Wild Blue Psychology is giving people an opportunity to interact with horses, cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and rabbits during this year’s edition of Canadian Western Agribition.

Returning events include the Agribition Pro Rodeo presented by Ford, including Wednesday's free performance courtesy of The Mosaic Company, Full Contact Jousting presented by Chop Steakhouse Bar, and Running with the Bulls.
