The Canadian Wheat Board's e-Services lets farmers manage their business without a trip to the elevator.

The program, through the CWB's website, lets producers sign up contracts and conduct business online.

Richard Martin, the Board's Manager of Web and Design Services, says more and more farmers want to manage their contracts themselves.  "At certain times in the year, there can be really high volumes of phone calls to the CWB Farm Business team; over 6,000 calls per week during peak times. e-Services is open 24 hours a day, and can really save time, and maybe even a quarter-tank of gas by not having to drive to the elevator," said Martin.

Martin adds that, for many, the internet is an easier way to do business.  The goal of e-Services is to give farmers the online tools they need to manage their CWB business.

Farmers can preview e-Services through a short, self-guided tour on the CWB's website.
