This week is Canadian Farm Safety Week, and most of Canada's farmers see safety as a priority on their farms.

Farm Credit Canada released its second farm safety report card last fall. The survey showed that while more emphasis is being placed on safety around children, chemicals and safe handling equipment there’s still a lot to be done. Only 76% of producers who responded said they replace safety guards on equipment, 73% train new workers and only 69% routinely check and manage hazards.

The campaign is organized by the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association, Canadian Federation of Agriculture, Farm Credit Canada And Agriculture And Agri-Food Canada.
