It was a big weekend in Edmonton for four Saskatchewan youth involved in the Angus breed.

Macy Liebreich of Radville, Wade Olynyk of Goodeve, Katie Wright of Melfort, and Maguire Blair of Drake all made the Canadian Team Roster to participate in this years World Angus Forum in Scotland.

Liebreich says she is looking forward to taking part in the event.

"It's a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity, especially because the World Angus Forum moves around every four years and Scotland is kind of the birthplace of the Angus breed," she said.

About 70 youth took part in this year’s Guiding Outstanding Angus Leaders Conference where they announced the 12 individuals who would be attending the World Angus Forum.

The World Angus Forum youth program includes not only attendance at the conference but a trip to the Royal Highland Show, Stock judging, agri-skills competitions and activities, a visit to Scotbeef, as well as farm visits and tours with WAF delegates.
