Work on formally organizing the Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association continues.

The organization hopes to provide a united voice for Saskatchewan's beef industry to government.

Jack Hextall, the President of the Association's interim committee, says they have been working on a plan to bring forward to the Agri-Food council shortly.  After that, the Agriculture Minister will decide on further action.

Hextall adds that the Association's board will consist of 16 members, including elected members and representatives from the Saskatchewan Stock Grower's and Cattle Feeder's Associations.
