Hog prices have been supported almost solely by exports to China over the last three months, according to the Director of Risk Management with Hams Marketing Services.

Tyler Fulton says the price response has exceeded even the most bullish forecasts.

He says it's not only the volume, but the form of the exports that's significant.

Exports to China in August were more than three times larger than exports during the same month last year.

Ham’s Marketing Services met with Pork Producers in Swift Current on Monday.
