ICE Futures Canada is preparing itself for the start of marketing freedom, by introducing futures contracts for grain later this month.

President Brad Vannan was one of the guest speakers at last week's Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association Convention in Moose Jaw.

He says a futures market will be beneficial for western grain farmers.

The new contracts will be introduced on January 23rd, and Vannan says they will be similar to their already-successful canola contracts that farmers may already be familiar with.
