Great Sandhills Terminal at Leader, one of the members of the Inland Terminals Association of Canada

"Game Changers in Agriculture"... that's the theme for the Inland Terminals Association of Canada’s Annual Conference, which began today in Saskatoon.

Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz talked to the group this morning about one of the biggest game changers, the Federal Government's plans to remove the Canadian Wheat Board’s single desk monopoly.

ITAC Executive Director Kevin Hursh says this change will be different for independent terminals compared to larger grain handling companies.

ITAC members include 10 producer-owned terminals in Saskatchewan and Alberta, including South West Terminal near Gull Lake, Great Sandhills Terminal near Leader, Northwest Terminal near Unity, Prairie West Terminal in the Plenty/Dodsland area, and Weyburn Inland Terminal.
