Today (Tuesday, June 20) marks the Last Summer Field Day for the Western Beef Development Centre at the Termuende Research Farm at Lanigan.

Beef Economist Kathy Larson says this year’s theme for the field day is Moving Research into a New Corral.

Western Beef is moving their research as of April 1st of 2018 to the University of Saskatchewan’s new Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence at Clavet.

She notes today’s event covers a variety of topics.

"We will have presentations on grazing and cutting on differnet stages of maturity, managing for efficiency on your operation, Dr. Bart is going to give a presentation on 20 years at Termuende and some of the top research we've done there," Larson said.

The afternoon session involves a bus tour to see some of their field research trials.
