150 producers from around the southwest will be taking part in a Livestock Meeting in Shaunavon tonight.

One of the key speakers for the evening, Veterinarian Dr. Ted Dupmeier, will be focusing in on some of the new technology in the Livestock Industry.

He says producers need to know about their options when it comes to the new antibiotics and vaccines that are now on the market.

He says the new products are long lasting and user friendly. One of the key issues producers tend to see at this time of the year is pneumonia in cattle which can prove costly.

Dupmeier will also talk about advancements in ultrasound technology equipment now available to the livestock sector, saying the new farmgate process is simple, rapid and very accurate and gives a lot more information to the producer.

Presentations get underway at 7:00pm at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church Hall.
