It’s a shock for everyone involved.

Greg Marshall, President of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan, suffered a near-fatal heart attack, was rushed to hospital for surgery and is now recuperating at home.

Marshall has now resigned as APAS President to focus on his recovery, after leading the organization since December 2008.

Vice-President Don Connick says Marshall's presence was key in the success of APAS:

Vice-Presidents Connick and Arlynn Kurtz will jointly assume the President’s role until the next Annual Meeting December 7-9 in Regina, at which time the new board and executive will be elected.
