Scientists at SPARC are just starting to set up their research projects in the new greenhouse. The 5 million dollar facility features 10 individually climate controlled units with moveable bench systems that cover about 60 percent of the total greenhouse floor.
Dr Ron Depauw a wheat breeder at SPARC says his research team is excited about working in the new facility.
The new greenhouse also includes a headerhouse with a chemical mixing room and a soil preparation and storage area.
