Women are key players in farming and ranching operations, as well as managing the household and family.

March 2nd and 3rd is the 2nd Annual Rural Ranch Women’s Conference in Maple Creek.

The event starts Thursday night with a banquet and guest speaker Cynthia Beck talking about the health and well-being of rural ranch women.

Rachel Turnquist a Regional Forage Specialist with Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Agriculture talks about Friday’s lineup.

"We are going to have Kathy Larsen from the Western Beef Development Centre talk about cow calf cost of production," Turnquist said. "Leanne Williams from the Cypress Credit Union about

financial statements and projections, and then we will have Jason Williams from True Test to talk about software options." She Added, "Always a big draw we will have Anne Wasko will give us a

cattle market update."
