The Province is hoping a labour recruitment mission to Ireland proves beneficial.

A delegation of about 27 Saskatchewan employers is taking part in Irelands Working Abroad Expo.

Duane Smith from Jay Dee Ag Tech left today and is hoping to find qualified ag technicians and geo graphic information specialists to fill about twelve positions within their nine stores in the province:

“They have about 75, 000 people that they're trying to emigrate out of Ireland due to their high unemployment rate there. Just currently with the demand we have in our industry, and it's compounded through potash and the oil industry, its just very difficult to find these skilled workers.”

In total the Saskatchewan delegation is looking to fill about 275 skilled jobs.
