Some key farm groups are in the process of holding their Annual Meetings and Conventions. The National Farmers Union is holding their annual convention in Saskatoon. The event which gets underway today focuses on Energy and Agriculture. President Stewart Wells says they’ll also discuss the Canadian Wheat Board, the Grain Commission, and variety registration as well as hold elections for President and Vice President. The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan holding their A-G-M in Regina this week. President Ken Mcbride says APAS is the leading agriculture advocacy group in Saskatchewan. The membership will cover a wide range of issues including biodiesel opportunities, transportation strategies and competitive policies for Canadian agriculture.
