Canadian Western Agribition in Regina attracts hundreds of international visitors every year.

Greg Ebbeck is a livestock producer out of the Sydney, Australia area, and has been coming to Agribition for 28 years. For the last six years, Ebbeck has been breeding Speckle Park cattle in Australia, and at another operation in Neilburg, Saskatchewan.

Ebbeck says he likes the relatively-new Speckle Park breed for the quality of the meat, and its extraordinary taste and tenderness. The Speckle Park sale on Wednesday averaged $2777 with buyers including Ebbeck himself.

Agribition will continue to have a strong international presence for years to come, after Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced on Friday $150,000 through the AgriMarketing program for foreign promotion of the show, and the further establishment of the International Business Centre, which attracted 750 visitors at Agribition last year.
