Livestock producers are being encouraged to take part in a water quality meeting today.

The Swift Current Creek Watershed is organizing the event for 1 p.m. this afternoon at the South West Animal Centre.

Producers are being encouraged to bring in water samples for testing.

Topics will cover a variety of topics from monitoring water quality, to the impact of poor water, dugout construction, remote watering systems and how to access funding programs for water projects.

The Province’s Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program’s Application deadline has been extended from the August 1st deadline to September 30th.
