Legislation introduced into the House of Commons Tuesday will mean marketing choice for Western Canadian Wheat and Barley Growers is one step closer.
Doug McBain with the Western Barley Growers Association says this is about freedom and equality for Western Canadian farmers.
Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz says they plan to pass the legislation before the end of the year with the changes in place for the new crop year beginning August 1st, 2012.
