Competition is heating up in the wheat markets.

Russia and the Ukraine are again major exporters in the world wheat market.

Neil Townsend, a Market Analyst with the Canadian Wheat Board, says it’s a turnaround from last year.



He notes tight US corn supplies continue to support grain markets, but he says corn values will likely come under pressure from corn crops in the former Soviet Union and later in the year, from South America.
