The AG & EX held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The membership heard from Stan Aikens Financial and Commercial Exhibits Chair about the financial state of the board.

"The AGM went quite well, our overall results for the year were satisfactory and we ended up with a small profit this year," Aiken said.

The AG & EX revenue increased 5.2% from 2015, totalling $732,514. Expenses were marginally higher by only 0.4% to 702,498 leaving a surplus of $30,016.

The AG & EX is a not for profit organization so they work with the City of Swift Current to assist in all Capital Projects to improve conditions at Kinetic Park.

"We've helped out with the barns, the washrooms and some of the other facilities like Doc's Town Heritage Site, with a lot of the renovations there and the Tea Room," he said.  "We just put shingles on the McLatchie
House"

For 2017 the AG & EX looks to continue hosting Step Into Spring Home and Leisure Show, Discover the Farm, Frontier Days, Young Ranchman's Ridin Rockin & Livestock Show and the CCA Rodeo Finals to name a few.
