A pilot that crashed his plane just outside of Swift Current in the spring had his date set for his preliminary inquiry yesterday in Swift Current Provincial Court.

Calvin Pahl was charged with impaired operation of a plane and has elected to proceed with a preliminary inquiry on January 24, 2019.

He crashed the plane on May 22 in a field just four kilometres west of Swift Current after taking off from a grid road a few kilometres away.

Both occupants of the aircraft suffered minor injuries and there was a small fuel leak on the plane as a result of the crash.
