Boomtown Days in Shaunavon kicks off this evening with the Boomtown Street Bingo in front of the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Center.

Director of Culture for the Town of Shaunavon, Joanne Gregoire, says the bingo will go from 7 until 9:30 p.m.

"People are certainly still going to be able to park on the street and either play from within their vehicles, or beside their vehicles, or there's space on the front lawn as well, so bring your lawn chairs or use the picnic tables we have here. They'll be $350 in cash prizes."

Please enter the street in front of the museum from the north and watch for the parking attendants.

They will also be holding a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going to their Musical Garden Project.

Then, this Saturday the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Center will be holding a special market and trade show on the front lawn.

Gregoire says, "So, we've teamed up with the Grand Coteau with our regular Saturday Market and teamed up with Leona, whose done really successful Trade Shows in Shaunavon, to make, like basically, this super event. So far we've got nearly 25 vendors. Anything from fresh baking and produce, hot food, woodwork, hand-made items, glitter tattoos and crystals, jewelry, glass humming birds, and so much more."

She adds that the Market and Trade Show will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and there will also be exhibits to view inside the museum.
