Jon Groenhyede was stellar making 32 saves as the Swift Current broncos downed the Kootenay Ice 2-1.
Graham Black also tallied for the Broncos who snapped a three game losing streak with the victory. The line of Adam Lowry, Taylor Vause, Brad Hoban were a +1 facing Kootenay's top line of Max Reinhart, Sam Reinhart, and Joe Antilla.
The win put the Broncos within five points of the 8th spot in the WHL's Eastern Conference.
Swift Current hosts the Red Deer Rebels on Wednesday.
