A second Swift Current Broncos player has been selected to suit up for the 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series.

First, it was forward Tyler Steenbergen who was named to Team WHL, and now defenceman Artyom Minulin will join Team Russia for his second year in a row as part of the competition.

Steenbergen and Minulin will face off against each other in the opening games of the Canada-Russia Series, with a November 6 contest in Moose Jaw, before heading back to familiar surroundings the following night.

The two Broncos will be on home ice at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex November 7th for the second and final game between Team WHL and Team Russia.

The product of Tyumen, Russia then heads out for four more games split between Team OHL and the QMJHL side.

Game 3 for the Bronco blue-liner and his home country is in Owen Sound, Ontario on November 9, and Game 4 in Sudbury.

Minulin and Team Russia close out the 2017 CIBC Canada-Russia Series November 14 and 16 in games against the QMJHL in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Moncton, New Brunswick respectively.

In 13 games so far this season with the Broncos, Minulin has put up 10 points (3 G, 7 A) - he has amassed 93 points (16 G, 77 A) in his 155-game WHL career.
