The Swift Current Broncos continue their push for a playoff spot when they welcome the Memorial Cup host Kamloops Blazers to InnovationPlex tonight. 

The Broncos head into the game in ninth place in the WHL’s Eastern Conference standings, two points behind a three-way tie for sixth place with Calgary, Regina and Medicine Hat, and one point ahead of tenth-place Brandon. 

Tonight’s game starts at 7:00pm with Living Sky Casino Broncos Hockey starting at 6:30pm on the Eagle 94.1 FM. 

In the WHL on Tuesday night, Moose Jaw doubled up Lethbridge 8-4, Prince George beat Portland 3-1 and Seattle blanked Victoria 8-0. Regina hosts Medicine Hat, Calgary welcomes Winnipeg and Tri-City entertains Everett in tonight's games.

U18 AA Broncos grab playoff win in Yorkton

The Source for Sports U18 AA Broncos beat Yorkton 5-3 on the road last night to take a 2-1 edge in their best-of-five first-round playoff series. 

Brett Stusrud scored twice, and Kaleb McBurney, Grady Keith and Keegan Nash also scored for the Broncos, who can move on to the next round with a win in their next game at home on Thursday. 

In men’s hockey at the Canada Winter Games in PEI, four players on the Home Hardware Legionnaires helped Team Saskatchewan beat Quebec 5-2 to finish top of their pool at 3-0. They’ll play in the quarterfinals on Thursday. 

Also at the games, Hunter Berg and Team Saskatchewan beat New Brunswick 46-35 in wheelchair basketball, and they’ll face Newfoundland and Labrador in their next game today.

O'Reilly gets hat trick as Leafs double-up Sabres

Ryan O’Reilly had a hat trick in his third game as a Maple Leaf as Toronto beat Buffalo 6-3 on Tuesday. O’Reilly was traded to the Leafs from the St. Louis Blues on Friday. 

In other NHL action, Sam Montembault made 38 saves as Montreal beat the red-hot New Jersey Devils 5-2, Connor McDavid scored twice as the Oilers beat Philly 4-2, and Matt Duchene had the shootout winner as Nashville beat Vancouver 5-4.

Two Canadian teams are in action tonight as Winnipeg visits the Islanders and Calgary travels to Arizona.
