The Canadian Mixed Curling Championship will return to Saskatchewan once again as Curling Canada announced on Friday that the Assiniboia Curling Club will host the event in the Prince of Wales Complex from November 2-8 in 2025.

Swift Current hosted the event in November 2023 with the hometown rink of Shaun Meachem, Kelly Schafer and Chris and Teejay Haichert capturing the title. It will be the first time Assiniboia has hosted a Curling Canada event and the third time in four years the Canadian Mixed will take place in Saskatchewan with Prince Albert also hosting in 2022.

“The Town of Assiniboia is excited to welcome with open arms the 2025 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship to our community,” Assiniboia Mayor Sharon Schauenberg said in a press release. “The sport of curling draws the young and old together in Saskatchewan’s winters while spectators come out in droves to watch this Canadian pastime. Our host committee and the Assiniboia Curling club in our Prince of Wales Complex will be sure to organize a world class event. We welcome all of the athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators from all over Canada to The Heart of The Golden South, Assiniboia.”

The 2024 Canadian Mixed Championship will be in St. Catharines, Ontario, from November 3-9, while Meachem and Team Canada will head to the World Mixed Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland, in October.
