The weekend is almost here and there's lots going on again in the city.

The Swift Current Greek community is hosting one of the biggest annual parties of the year Saturday night at the Legion hall in support of the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation's Welcome Home campaign to furnish and accessorize the new long term care facility. The evening will feature food, dancing, live music, plate smashing, and more.

The Broncos host the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday night at the iplex. Puck drops at 7. Moose Jaw's Brayden Point is one of the top players in the WHL and CHL and will be on Team Canada at this year's World Juniors.  He's worth the price of admission so get your tickets. Two local teams have Friday football this afternoon: The Gull Lake Lions will host Eatonia in 6-man playoff action. Kick off is 4:15 in Gull Lake. The Maple Creek Redmen will close out their season hosting Fort Qu'appelle this afternoon, kickoff is 4:00.
